Are EVs reliable?

Yes! EVs are reliable and have less maintenance issues than gas cars. The batteries in an EV are designed for long term use and usually have a warranty that is around 10 years or 100,000 miles. There are some older Teslas on the road with over 200,000 miles on their battery.

In addition, there are less other parts to worry about. You don’t have to worry about an alternator, oil pump, water pump, fan belt, etc. in an EV. And because of the way an EV uses the motors to do much of the slowing of the vehicle, brake wear is significantly less as well.
